The BBRI Senator Paul D. Wellstone MD CRC uses a new paradigm of collaboration software, to facilitate communication among our researchers called a Wiki. It is hosted, secure, backed-up, password protected and open only to members of our Wellstone MD CRC. The Wiki will provide a tool that helps make a multi-institution network seamless. Sharing of data is critical and HIPAA compliance will be assured by having all participants involved in the study consent to data use by institutions involved in the Wellstone MD CRC. All researchers will receive tissue samples without identifiers to help with HIPAA compliance. No patients or their tissues will be identified on the Wellstone MD CRC web site NIH guidelines and standards for HIPAA compliance will be followed and reviewed.
